新竹車站是台灣現有建築與藝術評價最高的車站之一，也是現存車站中歷史最悠久者，已被列入國定古蹟。完工於1913年、第四代車站本體，是曾經留學德國、晚年定居台灣、任職台灣總督府鐵道部的日本建築師松崎萬長的作品。
Taiwan's Hsinchu Station is the highest evaluation of existing buildings and art of the station, is one of the oldest extant station who has been included in a national historic site. Completed in 1913, the fourth generation station body, was once studied in Germany, later settled in Taiwan, the Taiwan Governor Railways serving Japanese architect Matsuzaki Wan-chang work.
