Our second hide, this time in the beautiful New Park Plantation, near a very interesting fallen landmark (especially when approached from the Brockenhurst end of the inclosure)! We always like to find caches with interesting features, we thought this needed to be seen by fellow cachers! Let us know what you think!
This is a great walk which can be kept to gravel paths from the Ober Corner car park, no hills etc. I have added a waypoint to mark the route, rather than trying to approach 'as the crow flies' which will be tricky! It can also be reached from Beachern Wood when the road is closed out of season, or as an extension to a hunt to find our first cache 'Muddled Up' which is nearby. Other Whitemoor car parks could also be used (although cache less easily accessible from these as you will need to cross the moor), or easily reached by anyone camping in the New Park Camping Site.
You will pass some lovely parts of the forest, stream and some fantastic trees.
The container is well disguised, and contains badges for first three to find and a few swaps.
The cache is placed in accordance with the GAGB New Forest guidelines. Please note there is no night caching allowed in the New Forest.
