Cache is placed near the pool but access is available year round. People have enjoyed swimming at the Kits pool since the 1930's when it was quite literally part of the ocean. Plugs let the water in from the ocean. In 1978 it was renovated and opened again in 1979.The current pool is 1 000 000 Imperial gallons or 4 546 091 Litres(Thanks to the City of Vancouver's 311 hot line for the info). The current pool, which is also salt water is also heated,often a conversation topic while standing in line at the entrance. The capacity of the pool is 1000+ people which makes quite a pool party.
The pool is divided into different sections for a wide range of swimmers to enjoy.
