Cumbernauld is infamous for having received the Carbuncle Award in 2001 and 2005 – the only town to have received it twice. But if you take a seat at the bench near this cache, you’ll see the town has an altogether more attractive side too. So, we thought “The Ugly Duckling” was a good name for the cache!
This cache is one of several we’ve hidden in or near Cumbernauld Community Park. They’re all reached from well-maintained paths, with the final 10-20m being rougher going. Why not link up the caches and enjoy a walk through this huge green space right in the middle of town?
