Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Elijah Clark State Park and will be adopted by the Park System.

There is a $5 entry fee into the park or one must have an annual Georgia Park Pass.

Elijah Clark returned to Augusta in 1776 and though he had a home he decided to build a second one.  First course of action was preparing the logs then with the help of his son he gathered rocks for the chimney.  Soon after neighbors were happy to help and the final outcome was a two room log home.  In those days, the doors and windows had to be reinforced and there were very narrow openings used as look-outs etc., in case of an attack.

Please only park in designated parking areas. Let's be respectful of our park and grasses. The trailhead coordinates are listed below.

This cache is placed with the permission of the Park Manager.

FTF has already been given to participants of the event.
