Welcome to the Hollow Inn

The starting point is the former location of the Hollow Inn, a popular county and western bar that featured live entertainment. The Hollow Inn operated in the 1970-80's and featured many local bands and a few national acts.
Two of the most famous acts to perform at the Hollow Inn were Boxcar Willie and Jimmy "Orion" Ellis.
Boxcar Willie
Boxcar Willie was a country music singer specialized in old-time hobo music. He performed at the Hollow In in March 24, 1985. That same year, he moved to Branson, MI, and opened his own theater. He went on to sell over 100 million albums and was the 60th member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Jimmy "Orion" Ellis
Jimmy "Orion" Ellis was an internationally know singer whose natural speaking and singing voice sounded like Elvis Presley. He performed at the Hollow Inn for 5 shows through 1981-82. Ellis performed both as himself and his alter ego, "Orion, who always wore a mask to conceal his true idenity. He has appeared with Loretta Lynn, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ricky Skaggs, the Oak Ridge Boys, and many others.

Because the site of the Hollow Inn is currently nothing more than a parking pad in someone's front yard, I have offset the cache to a more geo-friendly location not too far away. To find the cache, you need to ADD 80 to N 41º 00.400, SUBTRACT 710 from W 083º 14.683. Bring your own writing utensil.
