深川 発祥 Origin of Fukagawa Traditional Cache

Once upon a time of approximately four hundred years, in the delta of lush reed, was not still some people who live in Fukagawa region of current from now.

At that time, the people who moved  Fukagawa Hachiro emon is a family with someone in tow, we began to develop this land.
Tokugawa ieyasu was ordered to as "Fukagawa village" by taking the last name of Hachiro emon the "Fukagawa".
And, I was appointed to Nanushi of Fukagawa village Hachiro emon Fukagawa in recognition of development.

今からおよそ四百年の昔、現在の深川一帯は葦の生い茂る三角州で、住む人も未だありませんでした。その頃、深川八郎右衛門という人が一族を引き連れて移り住み、この土地の開拓に着手しました。
古記録によると、徳川氏の関東入国から間もない慶長元年（1596）、徳川家康公が当地を巡視の折、八郎右衛門を召して地名を訪ねたそうです。八郎右衛門が「まだ住む人も少なく、地名もない」と答えると、家康公は八郎右衛門の姓「深川」を採って「深川村」とするよう命じました。そして、開拓の功績により八郎右衛門を深川村の名主に任じました。
