Prinsleden – Tarfala view
Tarfala valley offers stunning views of Sweden’s highest mountain, several glaciers, a glacial lake and stream. At the shore of the lake you will find the Tarfala lodge offering shelter for the sometimes severe weather that can hit this valley. Just below the Icefall glacier you will also find the climate research station run by Stockholm University. The weather stations here have registered the highest wind speeds ever recorded in Sweden – 81 m/s.
The cache is placed close to the research station, and can be reached from Kebnekaise mountain lodge in Laddjuvaggi, from the Tarfala pass or via Jojo-leden. The elevation is 1148 meters.
