CCARF13 - Flamingo in a Flock of Pigeons Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

NurseB33: Well, I think it’s time to say goodbye to this oldie. I visited today and the poor flamingo was in shambles. Unrecognizable actually.

Thanks to all those who found this one. A big thanks to those who gave it a favourite point - it was one of my first few hides and was created for my first CCAR event in 2013 over a decade ago!! I remember how exciting it was to receive a favourite point [:D]

Happy Caching!!

Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed for the CCARF13 event, held September 28-29, 2013. It should not be found prior to NOON on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Caches for the CCARF13 event are published early so the geocaching community can plan their search routes before the event starts.

At one point or another in our lives, we all experience being the "newcomer". Depending on the situation, it can be very intimidating, scary, and nerve-racking. Sometimes it can feel like we don't belong, 'fit in' or we feel like we stand out. One might even say "I feel like a Flamingo in a Flock of Pigeons"!

Even though I am still relatively new to the geocaching community, I'm here to say that there's no need to feel like you don't belong. My experience has been extremely positive and the Cachers I have met thus far have been very helpful and welcoming.

This is my first 'Event' cache and only my second cache ever, so I do hope you enjoy.

This cache is only large enough to fit a logsheet and small pencil which I have provided. Please ensure they are placed back into the baggie as found.

UPDATE: the cache has been replaced as of November 4th 2015, however it was impossible to find a flamingo willing to accept the job at this time of the year. I have therefore replaced the cache temporarily with a flower and when they return home after spending the winter down south I will repost the position and review resumes. Stay tuned....
P.S. I have had to change the coordinates a wee bit so please update your GPSr!
