The Kennedy Avenue of Honour.  An avenue of cypress trees was planted at this location in 1914 in memory of the former residents of the Ballarat Orphanage, once located at 200 Victoria Street , who had voluteered to serve King and Empire at Gallipolli, the Middle East, France and Belgium during the First World War. The original trees are now gone but the fallen cypress trunks can be seen on the slope below. Take some time to read the signs and collect the necessary information required to locate the cache.
