Lütfen kayıt defterine sadece kullanıcı adı ve tarih giriniz. - Eski yunan mitolojisinde evlenmek isteyen genç kızların kıyıdan yüzerek ziyaret ettiği tapınaktır. Maltepe'de Süreyya plajında bir benzetmesi yapılmıştır. Altı direk üzerine oturtulan, yuvarlık bir kubbeden oluşan, kıyıya 50 metre uzaklıkta olan bu tapınak denizin doldurulması ile bugün karada yer almaktadır. Yaklaşık 3 metre çapındadır. Bugünkü Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan Kültür Merkezi bakireler tapınağından esinlenerek yapılmıştır.
