This cache is in rememberance of my Uncle Max Harlan. Max was an outdoorsman and from him I learned the importance of loving the creation around us. On August 1, 2004, Max and his family were out on the creek, and it was at this spot that he saved his children from the rapids of the dam. This place has taken the lives of other loved ones like that of my Uncle Max. He died a hero and will forever be remembered as such. The funny, bearded, outdoorsman who resembled a Grizzly Adams or a Jeremiah Johnson. They are demolishing the dam now. In the log, feel free to write of a loved one. Enjoy and please be safe around this area!
