Geocache Description:

This geocache is a quick park and grab.  You will need to bring a pen.  You will get a nice view of the road we drove on to get to Route 66 at the geocache site.  There is a Route 66 keychain for the FTF!

The idea for this geocache came about during a recent week long vacation in Williams, AZ.  Williams is at an elevation of 6,762 feet and one of the store owners mentioned that Williams was the last Route 66 town bypassed by the Interstate.

Our trip included two trips to the nearby Grand Canyon, one trip by train and one by car.  Williams also has a zip line and lots of stores for acquiring Route 66 souvenirs.  In fact, the geocache container and the FTF prize were purchased at one of these stores.

There was also some geocaching along the way.  On the way back to Southern California through Utah, I got my 100th find. We found geocaches in Arizona, Utah and Nevada on this trip.

Lots of fun memories!
