Rock am Ring Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

joeylovestreasure: Unfortunately it is time to archive. The original container was a German music box with character and meaning, a passionate German Geocacher highlighted its importance. When the original container was no more, the significance lost. I so hope a quality cache will replace the space

Geocache Description:

Rock and Ring is an annual German rock festival held at Nürburgring Race Track since 1985. This cache is placed in recognition of the contribution German musicians and composers have made to music over the centuries and the festival itself. At GZ feel free to play a tune.

The 2013 festival line up includes Green Day and the Prodogy, while previous performances that I would have enjoyed watching have included Elton, Bon Jovi, U2, Rick Springfield, INXS, Radiohead, The Killers, Robbie Williams, Muse and Kiss.

The hunt for the cache will take you along the beautiful Murrumbidgee River. The cache is about a 1.5km return walk from the car park but not far from other near by caches. Beware of the blackberry thorns too.

The container is within another container for waterproofing, and large enough for decent sized swaps.

Special thanks and FTF kudos to Garschdi for helping me clarify the description.

And a big congrats on 1000 finds by Kittykatch on this one - SDL will have you on his next list off Jerrabombera Rd :-)
