A puzzle cache set in the Whitelee Wind Farm locality. Whitelees Windfarm is the the largest windfarm in Europe.
It is situated 20 minutes outside Glasgow, and the visitor centre offers stunning views over the barren countryside. There are 140 wind turbines, which in effect can provide power for 160,000 homes!
Outdoor activities, such as walking and cycling are also the norm for this wind farm, with very well maintained pathways. Additionally, there is a good variety of wildlife to be found in the 25 square mile area, such as merlin and black grouse.
And now for the cache. I will admit in advance this is probably one of the trickiest ones as a puzzle I have set, so ooops! In mu youth I had a fascination with geography in all aspects. But one of the things I liked was the continual change of the borders of the countries. Whether this has been done through the powers of the ocean or by political intervention the lay outs never cease to cause me to ponder on the hows and whys of the change.
Here we go. As with many of my puzzles, you will need to identify the country by its outline, and the length of the name is the number you are looking for. So if you were to see CANADA then this would be 6. The only half pointer to narrow the rationale down is that all of the countries have appeared in the FIFA Football World Cup at some stage since 1978.

Over to you, and happy hunting!
