An easy cache near garelochhead railway station on the west highland line.
Garelochhead railway station serves the village of garelochhead and is situated high on the hillside providing lovely views of the village and surrounding areas. The station opened to passengers on the 7th August 1894. The station has seen many altertions over its 119 year history like the removal of the turntable and some of the sidings. As with most train stations from this era this has lost most of its former glory but if you time your visit correctly with the jacobite steam train passing you may just be able to see some of the ghosts of the former residents walking the platforms. While you are in the are check out our other caches GC4N94Q- Garelochhead-The old pier and GC4N9ZK Garelochhead Isabella Campbell memorial. Big congatulations to madmaz33 on FTF
