Geocache Description:

After working my way through Buckeye Bugs, I thought birds go well with bees.  So enjoy a geocaching drive down Buckeye road.  I take no responsibility if the birds bomb your car.  For all the caches in this series, there is no need to trespass, climb fences, or go on private property to access the cache. Please use stealth and be respectful of the areas you are visiting. Happy Hunting.

Unlike some finch species, the American Goldfinch uses its feet extensively in feeding. It frequently hangs from seedheads while feeding in order to reach the seeds more easily. In the spring, the American Goldfinch feeds on the catkins hanging from birches and alders by pulling one up with its beak and using its toes to hold the catkin still against the branch. This dexterity enables it to take advantage of food sources relatively inaccessible to potential competitors, increasing its chances of survival. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Goldfinch
