A short uphill walk on a marked track to a small memorial on the outskirts of Garelochhead.
A memorial to Isabella Campbell (1807 - 1827) lies along a signposted track leading west off the B833 road near the head of the Gare Loch.
No one really knows why this memorials is really here the stone inscriptions simple states ''here isabella campbell was wont to pray''. There are some account that she was visited by the holy spirit and was gifted with the power of tongues but no clear accounts seem to survive. next to the memorial is a picnic table to sit and enjoy the scenery. The cache is just beyond the memorial site a little farther up the hill. While in the are check out our other caches GC4N8YP Garelochhead-The West Highland Line and GC4N84Q Garelochhead-The old pier.
