Geocache Description:

The container is a recycled container used by a previous geocacher. I have put it to good use and its for the kids. Please bring them and let them enjoy and learn some history. Please observe your surroundings before your surroundings observe you.

The cache is located in a nice public veterans memorial park in Bardstown, Ky. I parked on the side of the street next to the stop sign. There is little to no traffic on the road in front of the park.

Just past this area is the the fourth largest Civil War Museum in the United States. If you've ever wondered what a frontier community looked like, you can see one at Old Bardstown Village. This pioneer village contains cabins dating from 1776 to 1820. There are frontier homes at Old Bardstown Village, as well as shops. There is a Forge and Stillhouse in the village as well as a replica of Brown’s Mill along the creek. At Old Bardstown Village, you can experience what life was like in a frontier village of the 1790s so enjoy your visit.

This is a small container currently holding a log in a plastic baggie. It could hold a little more but probably very little. Bring your own pen to sign the log.
