Geocache Description:

A cache and dash near a lovely George V pillar box (1910-1936) - but beware the muggles!

I've set three caches today in a chain, using the footpaths that connect the roads from Woosehill roundabout right up to Matthewsgreen Road. They can be done individually, and/or by car, but it's quicker and easier to do them as a little sequence, using the footpaths! They are: 'Locomotive levitation', 'Mailing George', and 'Not for long'.

Mailing George is a simple cache and dash, hidden near what might be one of the oldest post boxes still in use in Wokingham. It is from the reign of George V and dates from 1910-1936. Seemed appropriate in a week when the Royal Mail looks once again like it might be history... :(  Some stealth required, as there are houses all around, but it is quite a quiet little place so not too intimidating!

George V was the father of George VI, who was played by Colin Firth in the film The King's Speech. (Oh goody - a tenuous excuse to include a photo of Colin Firth! Hurrah!).

FTF – Congrats Taeppa! A trio of FTFs in 20 minutes has to be a record!!
