As you hunt, you'll see a nearby 1927 Mediterranean revival-styled building that has fallen on hard times. It used to house the downtown YMCA. Now it has sat vacant for more than a decade. There was talk of converting it to condos. When that fell through, folks lobbied for it to become a music venue. That never materialized either. No telling what will happen in the end.
