Geocache Description:

Brought to you by members of

www.geocachealaska.org

Noon to 12:30pm - Saturday - September 28, 2013

Join us at a brief gathering to celebrate GeocacheAlaska! Inc.'s relationship with the Bureau of Land Management at the Campbell Tract, home to the Campbell Science Center and 730 acres of federal lands open to geocaching at the foot of the Chugach Mtns in Anchorage.  Fall Caching across BLM's Campbell Tract and thousands of acres of adjacent state and municipal parklands is a glorious experience, and we'll be providing information on how to best enjoy access to geocaching here on the Campbell Tract. The usual social fellowship will be accompanied by special bling drawings, and the GeocacheAlaska! Store will be open. Don't miss out on seeing the newly-expanded variety of mega-bisons and special trackables!

Find us at the massive outdoor firepit, located on the southeast side of the Campbell Science Center building. Leave your geo-canine companion at home during this event, per BLM Land Manager request
(at this event only today, because of a nearby activity occurring at the same time. Dogs are welcome on park trails - ON LEASH - at all times. The leash ordinance is strictly enforced on BLM Campbell Tract).

Northwes is recruiting 'field assistants' to help GeocacheAlaska! Inc. present geocaching to members of the public visiting the Campbell Science Center during the afternoon from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. If you're interested in helping interested persons learn how to use a GPS to find several close-by geocaches, indicate your willingness in your 'will-attend' post. We're looking for persons who can help out during one-hour shifts from 1:30pm to 2:30pm / 2:30pm to 3:30pm / 3:30pm to 4:30pm. You're certainly welcome to spend the afternoon with us as we talk about getting outdoors as part of geocaching Alaska! Pre-loaded GPS units will be provided by GeocacheAlaska!
