Geocache Description:

This Wherigo was created at the September Game Jam by Elonka, Repmul, Crowesfeat30, Victoria and Strider. The theme of the Game Jam this time was "Reticulate" (google it...) and this is what we came up with.

In this Wherigo you will be hunting mushrooms and it is up to you to determine if the mushroom is edible or poisonous. When you collect enough edible mushrooms, you will be given the coordinates for the cache container.

You're going on a mushroom hunt but how do you know if the mushroom you find is edible or poisonous?

This Wherigo WILL NOT TEACH YOU THIS!!! The Wherigo is for entertainment purposes ONLY and is NOT to be considered a field guide for mushroom hunting.

The goal of the Wherigo is to decide if the mushroom you see is edible or poisonous. You will need to cast your net (hey! A "reticulate" reference!!!) far and wide and sort and divide edible from poisonous to win the game. While the game is not intended to be a true mushroom identification guide, we do use actual mushroom names & very general descriptions. There will also be artist's renderings of each mushroom used in the game.

Once you collect enough edible mushrooms, you will be given the location of the cache container.

Have fun and don't get caught by the hallucinogenic 'shrooms or you'll never finish the cartridge! LOL!!!

The Wherigo cartridge can be found here.

The Wherigo adventure itself is all wheelchair-accessible. In fact, you could probably complete it without getting out of your car if you just stuck to the parts of zones that are in parking lots. To access the final cache though, is more of a terrain 1.5.
