Geocache Description:

SGT Fleming is turning thirty on October 29th!! Come celebrate with us!

Chris joined the Army at 17 during a time of war and never thought he would make it to thirty. He served 9 1/2 years in the Army and was medically discharged for an injury he sustained on duty. He was lost without the Army and was in search of something new to do with his time and something to look forward to in life. All his friends were in his old Unit and after being discharged they lost touch with each other.

Then in 2009, he heard about Geocaching and thought it might be something fun he could do with his daughter, LiL Evy. It didn't grab him right away because he didn't yet own a GPS which kinda made things a bit more difficult. He used Google and hand drawn maps to help him find the caches and did 9 caches like that including a long multi!

In April of 2011, he bought his first GPS and 6 days later he had already found over 100 caches. Now, 2 1/2 years later, he has over 6,400 finds and counting! His first Event was the October Meet and Greet in 2011 where he met several cachers whom he now considers friends. The two he seems to cache with the most are NoBucksRanch, who got him addicted to puzzles (umm thanks? lol j/k) and trailtrekn, who always shows up when there is a numbers run to do or some island cache to grab.

Without the Army SGT Fleming was lost but with Geocaching he was found. So now that he is turning the big 3-0, what better way to celebrate it than with a Geo Event with all his friends that he met along this journey to get to where he is today?!

There is a link to Pizza Caboose's menu at the top of this page. (Relate Web Page) Pizza, chicken, sandwiches and salad bar are all available if you choose to partake! They also serve beer and wine for those looking for a little something extra to drink. ;) The birthday boy isn't a big fan of either but I'm sure he wouldn't turn down a little something stronger to bring home if you so choose.

The little ones LOVE watching the trains go around the restaurant and looking at all the railroad memorabilia on the walls. This place is VERY kid friendly so all are welcome!

If you do plan on coming please post your "Will Attend" so we can have a good head count for Pizza Caboose and have a better idea how big of a cake to get. That's right! Cake WILL be provided! If you don't wish to eat cake then please let us know in your
"Will Attend" log.
Thank You!
