A straightforward drive-by cache near to the Newark Showground.
This is a small plastic clip-lid box hidden near the Newark Showground, which hosts numerous events throughout the year. The showground is on the site of a former airfield (RAF Winthorpe). The 200 acre site was purchased for £20,000 in 1964 by the Newark and Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society. Every May the showground is the site of the Nottinghamshire County Show, the first major agricultural show of the season in England. Adjacent to the showground is the Newark Air Museum.
