Take the short, but steep hike up from the confluence or the longer , but still some steep spots, hike from Foresthill rd.
Enjoy the view and the workout. No real trail to GZ, but some deer trails and open areas.
The regular hazards like starthistle, snakes, ticks and poison oak can be found in the area. Some areas may be slippery.
Several other caches in the area... continue up the hill or go down to the trails at the river.
