Big red bison hidden off "trail" in the Sandia Mountains.
ITCHY: Introverts Trail for Caching and Hiking, Yessirree! As I was heading out from the parking area I was surprised how much bike/foot traffic the foothills gets with respect to the other side of the Sandias. However, once I went past the end of the trail system, I did not see another soul. As I was trying to get from Poustinia to the Bread Crumb caches (up on Oso Ridge), I kept on thinking I was bushwhacking, but then I saw the usual hiking signs along the way: footprints, cairns and even lost sunglasses. So I was not the first person to try this route. It was nice and quiet along this way and there were some nice views at the ridges, so I placed a cache to memorialize the experience. I would not recommend going after this cache while it is raining for several reasons...
