Armed with a 33 gallon trash bag, gloves, and the cache we set off to do some cleaning up and to place the cache. I taught Tori all about litter, and how it harms the earth. She was a very big help and we filled the bag. The Cache contains some shopping bags (I taught her about re-using as well) and I encourage cachers to take a bag and clean up what they find. I plan on making more robust CITO kits to put in at a later date so please bring gloves. While it is not a requirement, I would ask that everyone that logs cleans up the area a little and would love to see pictures of strange items found, or full bags of trash to keep it rolling. One bag from many cashers can quickly make the area nice again, and I am sure the neighbors will love it too!
The cache is NOT near any of the muggles properties. It is along the embankment leading up to the secondary area of Garden City. It should not be a difficult find with a little geosense, but the terrain is steep. Please re-hide as good or better than found in the same area. There is something special for the FTF, as well as other trinkets to trade. It would be great to see others use this cache as an opportunity to teach their kids/friends/relatives about the importance of taking care of the Earth. It's not about hugging trees, its about appreciation for the beauty we have all around us which so many refuse to see.
