You can tell a lot from looking at geocaching maps. Concentrations of caches indicate a certain socioeconomic demographic. You know, people like us. This series however is located in one of the sparse areas on the map, and for a good reason. River Oaks has some of the highest property values in the region and security to keep it that way. For that reason, I'm not sure how long these caches will be around. But it will be an interesting sociology experiment to see.
All of these caches are located in City of Houston public parks. There should be no reason to enter private property at any time. In fact that is guideline #1 when going for these caches. Please read:
GUIDELINES:
1. Do not enter private property under any circumstances. If you obey traffic and parking laws and only visit the parks, you should not have any problems.
2. If you are approached by law enforcement or security, please tell them that you are geocaching. This is always a good idea but especially here. "Here kitty kitty" may work on muggles but please don't try it with these folks.
3. In our experience the best way to be stealthy and blend in is to bring a pet, such as a dog or child. :-) Dayglo vests and clipboards might raise more questions than simply appearing as a citizen enjoying a public park.
4. Night caching is not recommended here. Do so at your own risk.
