Geocache Description:

The Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth was founded in 1812 near Bardstown, KY.

Nineteen year old Catherine Spalding was elected its first superior. The new community followed the rule of St. Vincent de Paul and their dwelling was named Nazareth. The congregation teaches adult literacy programs, arts education and cultural programs as well as have retreat facilities and programs for the homeless, for victimized people and for the elderly as well as welcome runaway teens.

Please observe your surrounding before your surroundings observe you. Please do not seek these series of caches at night. There is a single parking location listed for each of the series which is at the guard shack. There are other places to park, but this was you can enjoy the beauty of the area and get some exercise. You do not have to check in at the guard’s station during the day. This cache in particular is a little tougher than the others thus the increased difficulty rating.
