The Douty Lumber mill is hidden in the hills of the Tillamook forest. We couldn't believe this spot had no Cache so we threw together what we could to make this Mill a destination and not a so distant memory. It is found by first finding the lumber rich town of Timber and heading west on Cochran road towards Cochran pond. Take a right on Giveout Grade road just before the abandoned tracks and stay to your right on a confusing jumble of logging road spurs to the parking coordinates. The trail to it I wouldn't call a road, you can take a high clearance vehicle down but a short walk will get you there just the same. The cache is hidden well due to muggler action and will require a decent amount of bravery, mostly lack of fear of heights. You are looking for a micro container. The trees may make it hard to zero in on but stick close on the main structure. No cell signal here but I did pick up a few bars down near the pond. We made this a day adding on a few caches down on the abandoned railroad well worth hiking in to. Included a pic of the trail from the road. coordinates are N 45 43.073 W 123 24.022 (edit, 2/12/16, it has been brought to my attention this site is unfortunately being heavily vandalized. I am considering removing this site due to the severity. PLEASE bring a bag and pack some of the trash out if you can. We try to every visit but it is getting out of hand. I'm not sure what would posses someone to drive up there to cause such damage. Tag/spray paint a decrepit building almost no one sees. Anyway be safe up there. Cache on)
