Geocache Description:

Our second cache is a celebration of the might of the tiny acorn.

We have edited the ratings for terrain to four star for retrieval of the cache although the approach is an easy one.

Bring a pen and tweezers.

Please be aware of the barbed wire.

5,400 oak trees were used in the construction of Nelson's flagship HMS Victory.

Oak trees were used in the building of our great Castles, Cathedrals and Churches and our own Essex Barns.

The bark was used for tanning leather and acorns were fed to pigs to fatten them.

Great oaks from tiny acorns grow. The oak, and ultimately the acorn, help make Britain Great.
