A Minha Primeira Cache~Missão GASTagus 2013 BomBom Traditional Cache

Bem-vindos a esta cache que se situa junto à Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Fátima, na Paróquia de BomBom, e que vos irá dar a conhecer não só este edifício e o que motivou a colocação desta minha primeira cache, que será descrito de seguida, bem como, se assim o quiserem, alguns pontos de interesse desta vila e dos seus arredores, não sendo no entanto pontos de paragem obrigatórios para a realização da cache, pois esta encontra-se nas coordenadas dadas em cima, e o que mais é necessário para efectuarem o log está descrito abaixo, no parágrafo “A Cache”. Optei por deixar os restantes pontos de interesse, com respectivas coordenadas dadas, apenas como sugestões de visita.

BomBom é uma vila da Ilha de São Tomé com aproximadamente 500 000 m², que se situa na zona de limite entre o distrito de Água Grande e o distrito de Mé-Zochi. Fica a cerca de 4 Km do centro da capital São Tomé, cidade com a qual, geograficamente, partilha o mesmo distrito, o de Água Grande, no entanto, questões de Coordenação e Gestão Políticas, Sociais e de Saúde são tratadas não com as sedes deste distrito, mas com as respectivas sedes do distrito de Mé-Zochi.Da Paróquia de BomBom fazem assim parte a Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Fátima, onde se localiza a cache, e ainda as Igrejas de São Pedro, em Pantufo

Esta cache surgiu e foi motivada pela minha presença durante o mês de Agosto de 2013 em Missão de Voluntariado pelo GASTagus – Grupo de Acção Social do Tagus, onde, de 2ª a Sábado, com um público-alvo destas três comunidades que vos convido a visitar, desenvolvemos várias actividades como:

• Colónia de férias para crianças dos 3 aos 15 anos
• Apoio ao Estudo e Explicações de Português e Matemática
• Formações para Jovens e Adultos com temas como Voluntariado, Cidadania e Participação, Liderança, Empreendedorismo, Desenvolvimento Sustentável, Primeiros-Socorros
• Seminários com temas inseridos na área da Saúde
• Apoio directo à Equipa de Enfermagem do Centro de Saúde de BomBom

Ainda, e talvez o que mais motivou esta cache, foi que para além de tudo isto, contactámos, vivemos e partilhámos algo com esta comunidade, pois estivemos inseridos na localidade e com as fantásticas pessoas que aqui vivem, e assim, este é o objectivo ou a verdadeira motivação desta cache, que possam também conhecer um pouco da localidade, falar com as pessoas e conhecer uma pequena perspectiva do que eu pude conhecer, e que no fim, depois da vossa estadia, e pondo de parte as convenções que trazemos de nossa casa, se reflicta: este povo, com o acesso a comida, recursos e serviços que tem, e com a atitude que demonstra perante tudo, é um povo pobre? Importam as 24 500 Dobras que compram uma moeda de 1 Euro, ou importa o sorriso e a alegria com que se vai buscar água à fonte, descalço?

A Cache

Está num sítio com muito (muito mesmo) movimento, avaliem bem o momento para a fazerem, de forma a não levantar suspeitas. Aconselho ser feita entre as 12H e as 14H, ou no fim da tarde. O container inicial tem:

Para fazerem esta cache terão apenas que descobrir o container que se encontra nas coordenadas, e que não pretende ser de maneira alguma difícil, a hint diz tudo.

Welcome to this cache which is situated next to the Church of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, in the parish of BomBom. You will get to know not only the building and what motivated the placement of my first cache, which will be described below, as well as, if you so wish, some points of interest of this village and its surroundings. However not obligatory staging points for the cache, as it is at the coordinates given at the top, and what else is needed to make the log is described below, in the section "the Cache". I chose to leave the remaining points of interest, with their respective coordinates given, only as suggestions.

BomBom is a village in the island of São Tomé, with approximately 500 000 m², situated on the boundary between the District of Água Grande and the District of Mé-Zóchi. It is approximately 4 Km from the Centre of the capital São Tome, with which, geographically, shares the same district, Água Grande, however, issues of coordination and management, social and Health Policies are not treated with the headquarters of this district, but with their respective headquarters of district of Mé-Zóchi. So, in the parish of BomBom are included the Church of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, where is located the cache, and the churches of São Pedro, at Pantufo

This cache came up and was motivated by my presence during the month of August 2013 in volunteer Mission at GASTagus – Social Action Group of the Tagus, where, from Monday to Saturday, in these three communities that I invite you to visit, we develop several activities such as:

• Summer camp for children from 3 to 15 years
• Study support and explanations of Portuguese and mathematics
• Training for youth and adults with themes such as Volunteering, citizenship and Participation, leadership, entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development, first aid
• Seminars with themes embedded in the health area
• Direct support to the Nursing team of the BomBom Community health center

Still, and perhaps what motivated this cache, was that in addition to all this, we contacted, we live and we shared something with this community, because we've been inserted at the location and with the fantastic people that live here, and so, this is the purpose or the true motivation of this cache, you can also learn a little about the location, talk to people and get to know a little perspective that I got to know, and that in the end, after your stay, and putting aside the conventions that we bring to our House, reflected: this people, with access to the food, the resources, and the services that you saw, and with the attitude that demonstrates to all, it’s a poor people? Is it more important the 24 500 São Tomé Dobras who buys a coin of 1 Euro, or is it the smile and the joy with which they get water from the fountain, barefoot?
