A Gothic Church, with 12th Century Norman features. Archaelogy undertaken in 2006, when a kitchen and toilet extension were added, revealed that the site dates back to Roman times, when it was believed a Villa was situated here.
The village of Fenny Drayton has a putative link to Henry Tudor; it was here that Tudor met up with John Hardwick, who betrayed Richard III by guiding Tudor through the difficult terrain to Redemore and Bosworth Field. Hardwick's daughter Joyce would later marry into the Purefoy family, who played such an important part in the early life of this Church, and Fenny Drayton in general.
There is a leaflet available for purchase inside the Church for the very reasonable price of 20p. This provides interesting information on Fenny Drayton and the Church, well worth a read.
Bell-ringing takes place here, practices are every first Thursday of the month.
Parking is available outside the Church entrance, close to GZ.
