Geocache Description:

This is one of numerous caches placed at the locations of one room school houses in Juniata County.  Many of the one room school houses have disappeared, but some are still used as community centers, residences, churches, or storage.  There were 98 one room school houses in Juniata County. Enjoy finding the caches and imagining our forefathers learning and playing there.

This is the Smith Schoolhouse.  It is used for programs during the school year.  It is a good example of what a school house would have looked like.  Note the outhouses in the in the back.
