Geocache Description:

This is one in a series of caches based on hit songs of the 1960s. The song Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There is a Season) was adapted from The Book of Ecclesiastes by Pete Seeger. It was recorded by The Byrds and topped the US charts in 1965, becoming an instant classic. This cache is located in a scenic and serene spot just northeast of Alexander MB.

The song opens with a few heavy chords then settles into a soft, jangly line by Roger McGuinn on his Rickenbacker 12-string guitar. The group's gentle harmonies are perfectly suited to the Old Testament lyrics and peace-loving sentiment that Pete Seeger created:

Turn! Turn! Turn!

To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep...

To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late.

As with all of the Hits of the 60s series, the song lyrics are significant. The container is a camoed micro/small with a log and pencil.
