The International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) is a free zone and freehold area in Dubai and part of the Dubai Media City, which is part of TECOM Investment. IMPZ is spreading over an area of 43,000,000 square feet (4,000,000 m2).
It was meant to be an area dedicated and designed to meet the needs of the global media production industry, graphic art, printing, publishing, packaging and media production companies.
It was launched in 2003, the master plan was unveiled in 2004. Unfortunately the global crisis 2008/2009 came in the way and today most of the buildings in IMPZ are half done carcasses or abandoned empty buildings without completion of the interior. A ghost town.
The cache is located close to what was meant to be the "signature building" of the IMPZ, a futuristic wave-shaped aluminium building.
The cache holds a little, but sometimes very useful, tool for the FTF!
