This is one of several caches I will be placing on the Redbank Valley Trails in the Lawsonham area this Fall. All are placed with permission from the Redbank Valley Trails Assn (RVTA). Trail hours are dawn to dusk. The trail surface here won't be improved until 2014. See below for parking coords. This 1x4" cylinder is in plain sight if you look in the right direction. There is food and fuel about 3 miles from here in Widnoon.
Congrats to EAS64 for FTF.
New England Asters are one of many asters found in PA. They are distiguished from the others by their brilliant blooms of bright lavender to purplish-blue to magenta color throughout late Summer and Fall. They grow 3-7' high and are found in damp soil along streams, roads, or in fields. Many people lift them to plant in gardens around their houses because they are so showy.
