The DEC are used to be a tree nursery ,now, it is walking trails, skiing and snowshoeing too in the winter.
It also is educational, with many trees marked for identification.
There is an old firetower , which I think came from the #4 area. Next to it is a cabin, like the ranger manning the tower would stay in.
The cache is under the cabin, which sits up on cement blocks, on the parking lot side, just to the right of the set of blocks second from the left, just reach under and up on the sill. I know this makes it very easy, but I want you to spend time enjoying the place, not crawling around searching.
