La chiesa parrocchiale, intitolata all'Assunzione di Maria, ha origini antichissime, ma venne rifatta nel 1474 e riconsacrata l'anno dopo. Tra il 1797 e il 1820 fu ricostruita nelle forme attuali e di nuovo consacrata nel 1833. Notevole il campanile, costruito con blocchi di pietra estratta da cave della zona e terminato nel 1903. Da ricordare anche l'organo, opera di Zuane Limana (1783).
Citata per la prima volta in una bolla papale del 1182, la parrocchia ebbe come matrice la pieve di Sant'Andrea di Bigonzo, dalla quale si staccò già prima del mille. Comprendeva un territorio molto più vasto dell'attuale, estendendosi anche su Cappella Maggiore (staccatasi nel 1494), Montaner (1600), Osigo (1865) e Sonego (1951). In origine aveva forse sede nella chiesetta di San Martino di Mezzavilla, la quale aveva anche un proprio cimitero.

The parish church, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary, has ancient origins, but was rebuilt in 1474 and consecrated the following year. Between 1797 and 1820 it was rebuilt in its present form and re-consecrated in 1833. The bell tower, built with blocks of stone extracted from quarries in the area and ended in 1903. We should also mention the organ, built by Zuane Limana (1783).
Mentioned for the first time in a papal bull of 1182, the parish had as a matrix of the parish church of Sant'Andrea Bigonzo, from which it had fallen even before the thousand. Included a much greater territory of the present, extending also to Cappella Maggiore (broken away in 1494), Montaner (1600), Osigo (1865) and Sonego (1951). We originally had perhaps based in the church of San Martino di Mezzavilla, which also had its own cemetery.
