Geocache Description:

This is my first Geocache hide, in an area that brings back a lot of memories for me.

This is the former site of the Wilkur South Primary School, which was in operation from 1957 to 1990. This is also where I attended school during my primary years, from 1976 to 1982. I have lots of memories here, from playing on the playground (some of which is still there), kicking the footy around and playing cricket, playing "four sqaure" on the concrete, and attending the Christmas concerts each year in the hall nearby.

The cache is a 200ml Sistema container packed with lots of goodies, painted black, placed out of sight but still easily visible once you reach the location. It is a short walk from the entrance to the school, with ample parking off the road. When placed, it contained:

A log book and pencil

A solar torch

An un-activated FTF Trackable badge

A frog stamp

Sheriff badge

Several fridge magnets

Please swap items with something of equal or greater value.

Note: There is no need to climb the fence

Keep an eye out for passing cars.

As there is a lot of grass around, watch out for snakes in the warmer months.

Using a phone to find the cache might not be accurate due to lack of mobile coverage. Suggest saving offline or using a handheld GPS.

*** Congrats to JellyNelle for being the FTF***
