Az Alternatív Közgazdasági Gimnáziumot 1988-ban, a rendszerváltás időszakában alapították. Jelenleg 7-13. évfolyamon zajlik az oktatás három tagozaton. Az iskola alapelve: A gyerek nem az életre készül, hanem él. Az AKG programja szorosan kötődik a század eleji reformpedagógiákhoz, pedagógiai alternatívákhoz, a a működés középpontjában az egyes gyerek áll.
A geoládát a 2013-as Kutatók Éjszakája alkalmával telepítettük.
AKG was the first private school in Hungary established after 1988. The school follows its own pedagogical program which builds on the foundations of the great reform pedagogies of the 20th century. Their focus is the student as an individual, each student has a personal mentor, who helps in studies during the seven years the student spends in the school. In the higher years the students have an opportunity to chose the subjects they wish to study. The school also puts a great emphasis on collaboration and group work. They develop the social awareness of students through field work with handicapped people and in the underdeveloped regions of the country. According to our 25 year experience our student are successful in the further studies and on their careers as well.
