The 5th wave of the Blackrock Power Trail starts at the back of Dalkey Village and meanders down Coliemore Road and onto Vico Road --- all the while giving cachers magnificent views over Dalkey Island and Killiney Bay. There is easy access to this part of the Power Trail from the Dalkey or Killiney DART Stations.
The Cache
The 41st cache in the BRPT takes you to the mid-point of the famous VICO ROAD and the Killiney Bay Lookout. This idyllic park is a great spot to stop for lunch with large manicured lawns and plenty of benches for a well-earned rest. This little park is also the start of the trail down to Killiney Beach... if you are feeling up to the trek that is --- easy going down, not so easy coming back up (refer Trailhead Waypoint). You are looking for a small bison tube.
The Blackrock Power Trail Series (BRPT)
The series started its life in Idrone Terrace on Dublin Bay behind Blackrock Village and has now spread both north-west and south-east from the original Cache.
