This property is designated as an Ecologically Sensitive Land under the Ecological Gifts Program. It lies within the western portion of the Cramahe Hill Complex, a provincially significant earth science region. Portions of the property have been identified as part of the beach area of pre-historic Lake Iroquois. The property is also the western headwater for Marsh Creek and a source area for tributaries of Salt Creek.
