Geocache Description:

In 1603 Sir John Kederminster was appointed Chief Steward of the Manor of Langley Park, and replaced the hunting lodge with a house, red brick stables and outbuildings. The park was sold in 1738 to Charles Spencer, who used it as a hunting lodge until 1756 when he commissioned Stiff Leadbetter to build the present house, finished in 1760.
