Geocache Description:

The Cannon and the "Auld Toon"

magnetic nano cache

as you enter the "Auld Toon (Old Town) of stonehaven, you will notice a cannon, standing muzzle down marking the boundry between old and new.

this cannon (legend has it) was one of the guns used by Cromwells forces to attack Dunnottar Castle during the Cival war.

it is a well known landmark but is often passed by.

take a seat and ponder on all that this cannon has seen!
