Himonnya Street is a road for a townsman of Edo to go and worship at Enyuuji Temple in Himonnya in the Edo era.
The representative road was the road from Tokaido Shinagawa shuku.
This road was branched off from Tokaido road at Minamishinagawa , and, about the road to Himonnya.
this road was thought some route .
I installed cache in one route and reproduced the steps of the then townsman.

From Kifune Shinto shrine to Asahi Jizo shrine, two route were thought about.
(A)
The course that leaves for Asahi Jizo shrine along Shinagawa water from the neighborhood of Hiratsuka bridge of current Nakahara Highway
(B)
Himonnya Street joins Hyakutann street.
And, across Nakahara Highway, this road go to the Asahi Jizo shrine.
We select route (B).
As a result, I think the route as follows this time.

O.K. then, it is explanation of the cache.
There is Asahi Jizodo at Ushiroji intersection.
This Jizodo was made by 16 people of the Buddhist invocation society of Togoshi-mura in early stage of 1667 in the Edo era.
This guardian deity of children state includes an easy delivery, child care, the divine favor of the good luck charm.
When the holy priest of Kuhombutu, the Joshin temple of Okusawa, Setagaya-ku went to turf Zojoji Temple for Buddhist doctrine ascetic practices every day, he was accompanied by the name of the Asahi by saying that the morning sun rose at this place.
There is a guidepost of the height approximately 1 meter height in front of the temple. "turn right to Meguro Fudo , turn left to Himonnya Nioson" is carved with a way".
Originally there was this guidepost in the other side of the road. Because they moved it at the current position in an occasion of the road repair, right and left are reversed.
This intersection was called "Jizo no Tsuji" in old days.The different name includes "Susudango no Tsuji" . (Susu - Dango means soot dumpling).
Because here was the teahouse named "Susu dumpling", I was called.
They served the dumpling in a dish in the teahouse without spitting it and appeared.
It is said that it was full of worshipers in those days.
I placed cache in the place where a Jizodo was seen in the corner of this intersection.
The size is microsize.

┃碑文谷道シリーズの説明┃

碑文谷道は、江戸時代に江戸の町民が碑文谷にある圓融寺に参拝するための道です。
その代表的な道が東海道品川宿からの道でした。
南品川宿で東海道から枝分かれして、碑文谷までの道については、いくつかの説がありますが、その一つのルートにキャッシュを設置して当時の町民の足取りを再現しました。
(1)南品川宿、(2)新馬場駅（南口）、(3)天龍寺、(4)レンガ塀の道、(5)日本ペイント発祥の地、この後(6)JR東日本東京総合車両センターによっていったん道が途切れますが、(7)妙光寺、(8)三ツ木小学校、(9)貴船神社と繋がります。
このあとが、いくつかの説があります。現在の中原街道の(A)平塚橋付近から品川用水にそって、朝日地蔵堂に向かうコースと、いったん百反通りと(B)合流し、中原街道を越え朝日地蔵堂に向かうコースがあります。
私は百反通りと合流するコース(B)を今回の対象としました。
貴船神社からは(10)大崎中学校の校庭を横切り、(11)百反通りと合流します。(12)国道一号と池上線を横切り、中原街道を(13)桐ヶ谷の交差点で越え、(14)荏原金比羅宮、(15)京極稲荷神社、(16)朝日地蔵堂で品川用水と合流します。武蔵小山で(17)目蒲線を越えます。(18)お猿橋で品川用水と離れ、(19)平和通り商店街を通り抜け、(20)碑文谷鬼子母神、(21)圓融寺と繋がります。

それでは、キャッシュの説明です。
後地交差点のすぐ近くに朝日地蔵堂があります。
この地蔵堂にまつられているお地蔵様は江戸時代初期の寛文七年（一六六七）戸越村の念仏講の人たち十六人によって造立されたもので、安産、子育て、厄除けのご利益があるとされています。
朝日の名前は、世田谷区奥沢の九品仏・浄真寺の開山珂磧上人が仏道修行のため毎日浄真寺から芝の増上寺に通う途中、この地蔵堂付近にさしかかると朝日が昇るというのでつけられたとされています。
お堂の前には１メートルほどの高さの道しるべがあります。「右目黒不動尊 左碑文谷仁王尊道」と刻まれていますが、元々は道路の反対側にありました。それを道路改修の折に現在の位置に移動したため、左右が逆になってしまっています。
「後地」交差点は、昔は「地蔵の辻」と呼ばれていました。
ここには「すゞ団子」という名の茶屋があったことから「煤団子 (すすだんご)の辻」とも呼ばれていました。
お団子は串に刺さずお皿に盛って出していたようですが、参拝客で賑わっていたと言われています。
私はこの交差点の一角で地蔵堂が見える場所にキャッシュを設置しました。
