This is one cache in a series of 10* being placed in honour of the Dewey Decimal System. (You can take the girl out of the library, but you can't take the library out of the girl!) Each cache has a theme, which is reflected in the Dewey number it has been given. I am not assigning cutter numbers or subject headings. ;)
*Please note that they are not being released in numerical order.
580 is the dewey number for Plants (Botany). As cachers, we spend a lot of time getting up close and personal with the plants above and around the caches we are seeking. This one is no different! This cache is hidden next to a short "shared pathway" for cyclists and walkers. I'm not entirely sure what prompted them to put this here, but it's neat to see. You should be relatively well hidden from the nearby homes and the cars should be going too fast to care about you. There are some lovely cherry trees along the path with small plaques indicating the name of the person in who's honour they were planted. Very pretty!
First to find prize is a large bison tube, let me know when you hide it!
I took readings with 2 different GPS, but let me know if the coords are off. One never knows with technology!
