Himonnya Street is a road for a townsman of Edo to go and worship at Enyuuji Temple in Himonnya in the Edo era.
The representative road was the road from Tokaido Shinagawa shuku.
This road was branched off from Tokaido road at Minamishinagawa , and, about the road to Himonnya.
this road was thought some route .
I installed cache in one route and reproduced the steps of the then townsman.

(B)
Himonnya Street joins Hyakutann street.
And, across Nakahara Highway, this road go to the Asahi Jizo shrine.

O.K. then, it is explanation of the cache.

There is Keiouzan Monjuin Enyuuji Temple in the quiet residential area of Himonnya, Meguro-ku.
Himonnyamichi road is a worship road to this temple.
This temple is a temple of the Tendai sect said to have been built now for 853 years of the Heian era approximately 1,150 years ago by Jikakudaishi.
The beginning was the name to be called Fukumuji Temple.
It was converted to Nichiren sect in 1283 of the Kamakura era, and the name to be called Hokkeji Temple, too.
This Temple was converted to Tendai sect again afterwards in 1698.
At last the name to be called Enyuuji Temple in 1834.

This temple was known as Edo suburban outstanding famous temple with a venerable history around the Kanei era year of the Edo era.

The highlight

Niouzo(Deva kings)
The two Deva kings image of this temple was made in 1559.
It is a black wooden two Deva kings image.
Because it was rare wooden construction, the middle part was got close to as miracle new kana "black two Deva kings of Himonnya" in the Edo era by people.
It is informed that the temple was full of a large number of worshipers.
The two Deva kings image is appointed in a tangible cultural property of Tokyo.

Shakado

Shakado is appointed to the important cultural property of the country.
It is the oldest wooden building in 23 wards of Tokyo.
What was built is considered to be the Muromachi era.
The building can look at the elegant style that we adopted Japanese architectural style in technique of the Chinese design architecture.

I placed cache near the east gate of Enyuuji Temple.

The size is microsize.
Please take your pen.
