Reverse Geocache Triangulation Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

What is a Reverse GeoCache?

Like any other GeoCache it is a box that is linked to a certain coordinate on earth.  The challenge is to find this coordinate, in order to access the contents of the box.  Unlike ordinary GeoCaches, you do not need to find the box at the target coordinate: You will already have it when the puzzle starts.  But the box is closed and it will only open when you are near the target coordinate.  In order to find the coordinate, the box has a button: When you press the button, the internal GPS receiver will detect the current location and the distance to the target will be displayed.  Of course the number of trials is limited.  If you press the button too often, the box will be sealed forever.

My navigational (or better yet, mathematical) skills were put to the test when I encountered Spatial Distortion's "Reverse Geocache Box" GC4D5AC, requiring you to locate a hidden waypoint in 15 guesses or less simply by being told how far away each guess was.

So here is my challenge to you: I have placed four magnetic containers within a mile of each other, the final being an extra large container with lots of goodies (including an unactivated TB for the FTF).  The first container is at the posted coordinates, and contains the second set of coords as well as the distance in feet from the fourth and final container.  The second and third containers both contain the same sets of information that you will need.  By triangulating the three sets of coordinates and the distances from the final, you should be able to narrow down your search area to within 20 feet or so.

I would recommend this site for helping find a common center: GPS Visualizer

If you enter the correct information, it will draw you a map and the spot where all three circles intersect is your GZ!

There is plenty of parking available at all sites, and it is all level urban ground. All four locations are HIGH muggle areas, so be prepared to implement your best spy & ninja moves. ;)

My philosophy of Geocaching is that a hide should either be
A. Unique,
B. A Cool Location,
or C. a Combination of both
So I'm providing a slightly biased rating as to where and why I placed this cache:

90--------------------10

And, as always, if you enjoyed your experience, feel free to throw a favorite point our way so others will want to join in too! Thanks! :)
